A founding founder of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe holds the view that the errors in the voters’ register compiled by the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana are deliberate.
He issued a stern warning to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensa over her refusal to address the concerns raised against the voters’ register by the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) and other minority political parties.
According to him, if these concerns are not addressed, Mrs Jean Mensa will walk the country into destruction, cautioning her against such moves.
“I saw a gentleman from my party defending the in-defensive; that the EC has committed an error and is not willing to correct it. An error I will call deliberate and if it wasn’t detected by the NDC we would have a different result after the elections. I once again appeal to Mrs Jean Mensa to make sure the concerns and demands of the political parties are addressed. If she is not careful, she will walk this country into destruction” Dr Nyaho Tamakloe cautioned during an interview on Ghana Tonight monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
Dr Nyaho advised EC Boss to allow the forensic audit to take place and prevent Ghanaians from having the notion that the commission is hiding something aimed at favouring the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP) against the opposition NDC.
