On Sunday, August 4, 2024, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP: Development in Freedom) in the Tamale South
The constituency led by the workaholic Parliamentary Candidate and the Executives warmly welcomed a group of defectors from the National Democratic Congress, NDC.
A group called “Bobgu Nye Yaa” numbering over three hundred defectors across the Tamale South Constituency organized their campaign launch at the Sobriya School Park in the Kobilmahagu Electoral Area.
The Group comprised both energetic men and women with their members dotted across the Constituency. The leader and Chairman of the Group Mohammed Mahama popularly known as Olumbe and the women’s Organizers mobilized and fully joined the New Patriotic Party, NPP.
The Chairman of the Group in short remarks expressed his heartfelt delight in joining the NPP particularly to work assiduously for the NPP Parliamentary candidate in the Constituency. He stated clearly that the current member of Parliament has taken the good people of the Constituency for granted for close to 20 years yet they have not seen any massive developmental projects and the improvement of their lives as constituents who gave him the power and the mandate to represent them in Parliament.
The Women’s Organizer and the Deputy women’s Organizer for the Group also spoke during the launch and expressed their utmost happiness and pledged to support and work tirelessly for Alhaji Fuseini Musah for projects initiated so far as a Parliamentary Candidate in Kobilmahagu, Jakarayili, Kukuo and the other Electoral Areas in the Constituency.
In attendance at this momentous defectors campaign launch were Mr Abubakari Iddrisu Aloma, Alhaji Baba Gushegu, Mayor for Tamale Metro and Parliamentary Candidate for Tamale Central of Hon. Sule Salifu, Former NPP Constituency Chairman Alhaji
Hashim, Former Treasurer, Former Organizer, Council of Elders Chairman, Patrons, coordinators, polling station executives, Party faithful and sympathizers.
Alhaji Baba Gushegu as Guest Speaker expressed his heartfelt delight for the bold step taken by the group to join the NPP and encouraged them not to relent but to continue to stick with the Party for the forward march of the Constituency and the country at large.
The former organizer of NPP in a brief presentation also welcomed and entreated members of the group to work for the NPP for victory come the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
In addition, Mr Abubakari Iddrisu Aloma who presented the Regional Executives added his inspirational message of hope for the group members and underscored the need for them to feel like home for the NPP is open to all and a Party for the Youth of the Country.
The Constituency Chairman for NPP, Alhaji Alhassan Yussif Mozeli charged the crowd by highlighting some of the projects initiated so far by Alhaji Fuseini Musah and other ongoing projects by the NPP Government in Tamale South Constituency. He warmly welcomed the Group to the NPP and tasked them not to renege but to continue to work for the Party as one family.
In conclusion, the Constituency led by the workaholic and stout-hearted Parliamentary Candidate, Alhaji Fuseini Musah in his final remarks also warmly welcomed the energetic Youth to the NPP with endless excitement for the steps taken to dine and wine with the New Patriotic Party, NPP.
He further outlined the major projects initiated in the areas of Dams dredged, schools renovated, donations made to BECE candidates, ongoing CHPS compound in Kobilmahagu, donation of Dual desk to Sobriya School, jobs opportunities for some of the youth in Tamale South Constituency, etc.
Alhaji Fuseini Musah thanked all who made it to witness this important campaign launch by defectors from NDC to NPP.
