Ghana vs Nigeria: Black Stars coach Otto Addo explains to uninvited players about their absence for 2022 World Cup playoff



Interim Black Stars coach Otto Addo has spoken to players that won’t be available for the game between Ghana and Nigeria later this month.

The German-based coach is expected to name his squad for the playoff against Nigeria in the coming days.

With the team finalized, Otto Addo explained to players who won’t make the squad for the double-header.

He has however explained to them they are in his plans for the future as the Black Stars eye a return to the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Ghana will be without captain Andre Dede Ayew and Yeni Malatyaspor striker Benjamin Tetteh due to suspension.

Rennes star Kamaldeen Sulemana has picked up an injury and could also miss the double-header.

Otto Addo will officially submit his squad to the Ghana Football Association by close of the week.

The Ghana FA is expected to send invitations to the clubs 14 days ahead of the tie before players can be released during the international break.

The Black Stars technical team will meet with management before officially announcing the squad to the public.

Ghana will hosts the Super Eagles on March 25 for the first leg before traveling to Abuja for the second leg four days later.
