The Black Stars technical team, including head coach John Paintsil, Otto Addo, and Fatawu Dadua, was involved in a car accident on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road. The team was returning to Accra after attending the Champions of Champions match between Premier League winner Samartex and Nsoatreman FC on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
According to a video shared by GhanaWeb, none of the team members sustained serious injuries, though John Paintsil reported some pain in various parts of his body. The Otto Addo-led team is set to receive medical attention before resuming preparations for Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers against Angola.
The Black Stars are scheduled to host Angola in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before travelling to Niger on September 9.
