AshantiGold players have reportedly not been paid for four months and that has been attributed to the club’s shockingly poor displays recently.

This comes after AshantiGold were stunned 4-1 by relegation-threatened Eleven Wonders at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

The defeat extends their winless run to three games and are just three points above the dreaded zone with as many games to end the season.

According to the report, the players are extremely unhappy about the situation. Those who were bold enough to complain to management are paying the price.

It is the reason Dennis Votere, Amos Nkrumah, Isaac Opoku Agyemang, Eric Esso were all dropped from the starting lineup for the match against Wonders.

The former champions were among the favourites coming into the season but they have been utterly disappointing and risk being relegated at the end of the season.
