Works to upgrade 1970s signaling equipment and speed up train journeys have been completed.

The final phase of the £375m five-year project was completed on Sunday.

Network Rail said it will bring more reliable journeys to customers traveling between Reading, London, and Guildford.

They said the modern signaling system will increase future capacity, mean fewer delays, and improve the safety of level crossings.
